Car Insurence

It's that time of the year again, my renewal. I was very excited because I thought FOR SURE my rates would go down. I mean I turned 25 and its been more then a year and a half since my speeding ticket.

WRONG. I was looking over my new policy and it turns out I will be paying 3 dollars more. This brings me to a grand total of $146 a month. Yea, I know you don't pay nearly that much. Well poopy face at you!!!

So I start shopping around for something CHEAPER. UGH. I don't think the word CHEAP is a real word anymore. I looked at AllState. They want 1,600 for 6 months. Statefarm.....about the same so.

I call Progressive and ask why my policy isn't going down. I turned 25, its been over a year since my ticket. My car is aging...oh and Ive been a customer for 5 YEARS!! WEEELLLLLL as it turns out, speeding tickets take 3 years to go away....ok that's fine. BUT thanks to our SHITTY fellow Colorado Drivers we had an INCREASE in rates for the State. I'm even getting a loyal customer discount!!!! WTF!!!

Next time I see an accident, I'm gonna flip them off for fucking up my rates.

The puppy verdict

Well we did go on Saturday to meet the puppies, way out in Yoder, Colorado. That's always a drive. Looks a lot like Kansas; cows and grass. I'm happy Skip can be so entertaining in the car.

We ended up picking boy number 4, the biggest of the bunch. We didn't pick him based on size, he came out and wagged his tail for 45 minutes! It didn't matter what we did with him that tail just kept wagging. He's pretty perfect. Not overly dominate and not shy at all. He will probably grow to weigh about 110-120 lbs. His dad is 120 and he is the biggest of the bunch. I'd say he's gonna be one hell of a guard dog!

Hopefully I will have more photos tomorrow. He will be 4 weeks old.

More puppy pics!!

Going Mobile

This past week a friend of mine purchased a salon. She does hair and has been really pushing at me to groom again. I must admit I very much miss doing it, but there is just no way I can go back to grooming for somebody again. I'm tired of losing my hard earned clients.

I also don't want to leave T-Mobile. I have GREAT benefits and I do enjoy what I do there.

I did some home grooming today and the thought really hit me, what if I just start grooming in homes? I did it as a student, and if I had a few things it really wouldn't be too hard to get that off and going.

And so it begins, I went home, got on craigslist and typed in "grooming table' The first add that popped up was a portable table with arm for $40!! I emailed and BAM! Its mine!! I then went for a search for an easier way to wash a dog in a bath tub. Using a cup is pretty hard. BAM!! I found a curly water hose that will connect to the shower!! I also found a clip on lamp for extra light. Its like in a matter of 3 hours everything started coming together.

I'm planning to have a small very part time business up and running my next month. I will next week to get my business name registered so no one can use it and I am off to a great start. I've wanted to do this for a long time now, I just couldn't find the will or want to do it.

My plan is to do one dog everyday after work, and work full time on Mondays. That's about 4-5 dogs. I figured if I have an average charge of $40 per dog I can bring in a little over $800 extra a month. How awesome is that!!

All I would need from the client is a bathtub with removable shower head, a place with light and a few outlets. I would also ask the owner to not "help" the groomer of coarse.

Offical News

Well I would like to finally put a bit of an official blog out there about life stuff. I've been pretty much waiting to make it all "OFFICIAL".

We will be moving to a HOUSE in Fountain the first week of June! We got the approval today. We have been looking for a house for some time now and we finally had one pretty much fall into our laps just a few days ago. Its been hard to find one for a pretty big reason.

We are expecting to bring home our baby boy malamute by about the 27th of June. Finding a home that will take large breed puppies is hard.

My beautiful fish tank has been sold off piece for piece and I'm just waiting for a few last things to be picked up and we will be turning the tank into a terrarium once we are all settled. I decided to go for something that will require a little less of me. The puppy is going to take up enough time and the tank was already starting to suffer my lack of interest.

And most importantly, Aiden will be coming home full time. After 2 years of having him sometimes less than half the week.

Be prepared for more blogs, life is about to take an interesting turn for me.

Here is a picture of our puppy's Mommy, Godiva.

This is gonna come off bad, but I don't care!

I am not going to take the time to get numbers and statistics for this blog, but I KNOW if you absolutely need them the Internet can provide you with all the information you need. And you know it's always right.

I will start by saying that I haven't always been the kind of person that didn't want to help anybody. I always thought everyone should be given the same rights as we have here in America. However as I have become a wiser adult(or so I think I have) my views have changed quite dramatically. I bring this all up because Skip and I have been watching every documentary NetFlix Instant Play has to offer!!

We started watching one last night about two 9/11 widows. I give them kudos for finding each other and helping to over come grief. I cannot imagine what they have been thru nor do I ever want to have to. My issue with these women is this: They want to send money(AMERICAN MONEY) to the widows of Afghanistan. Now the widows of Afghanistan aren't just widows of THIS "WAR" mind you. These people have been dealing with this problem for MANY MANY years and its simply ingrained in their culture. It's their way of life.

I have a HUGE problem with America trying to change the culture of other peoples. I don't think we have the right to go in there and force a change, which is all we try to do anyways. It never works anyways. My opinion is this, If they wanted change that badly, they would strand up and have it. We as Americans did that and got our own country doing so.

WE have enough starving/malnourished children in THIS country. WE have enough war widows in THIS country they can reach out to. I just hate hearing about AMERICAN DOLLARS going to help other countries when we can't even help our own.

Call me insensitive, but until we can successfully care for EVERYONE here I don't want to see a single cent of any AMERICAN DOLLAR used on anyone but an American. PERIOD!
